Stunning and rare vintage Llewellyn bag, c. 1954 (as seen featured in the book Carry Me by Janice Berkson, page 36). This phenomenal handbag is like carrying a work of art. Gorgeous elongated torpedo shaped grey pearl marble lucite. Dual swivel handles that boast an amazing twist toward the top of the arches, suitable for hand or elbow/arm carry. Beautifully aged gunmetal hardware and lift hinge closure at topside. A panel of burgundy grosgrain is inlaid at the front/center, beautifully embellished with silver and aged gold bullion metal thread embroidery, rhinestones, and pearls that form a fleur de lis. The interior is lined with blue/purple moire fabric, with some pockets and snap pouch at the inner walls. Accommodates all size iPhones.

Condition: Great overall condition. Some pearls exhibit loss of finish that in our opinion, only adds charm. Some pearls or other embellishments may be missing, incredibly hard to notice. Minor wear to the edges of the fabric inlay and bullion threads here and there. Aging/signs of wear to hardware that also add to the charm. Ultra minor/minimal surface scratches here and there that are not noticeable when used. Interior shows some minor signs of age/wear, including the fading of Llewellyn stamp. This is an absolutely gorgeous bag and you will not be dissappointed.
