The Sony MZ-E900 is the first iteration of the 90x series of MiniDisc players (900 and 909). It is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality.
Released in 2000, it is very light due to its aluminium construction. It supports MDLP.
It features speed control, personal disc memory, and melody timer.
It weighs 58 grams without a battery or disc installed.
It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio output.
