Featuring a vibrant pink anthurium paired with trailing English ivy, this multi-plant kokedama arrangement blends bold tropical blooms with soft cascading greenery. Inspired by ikebana — the Japanese art of intentional floral design — each element is thoughtfully placed to create balance, movement, and harmony.
Unlike traditional potted plants, kokedama (meaning “moss ball” in Japanese) wraps the plant’s root system in soil and natural moss, creating a sculptural form that feels grounded yet elevated. The anthurium’s long-lasting, heart-shaped blooms rise with presence, while English ivy weaves gently around the sphere, adding texture and organic flow.
As the ivy trails and the anthurium produces new growth, the composition continues to evolve — a living expression of botanical art.
Each piece is handcrafted and one of a kind, making it a unique indoor plant gift or statement botanical centerpiece.
What is Ikebana?
Ikebana is the centuries-old Japanese art of flower arranging that emphasizes line, space, and intentional placement over fullness. It is a practice rooted in balance and mindfulness, where every stem has purpose. This living ikebana composition interprets those principles using houseplants, allowing the arrangement to grow and evolve over time.
Care
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Avoid direct sun.
Watering: Soak the moss ball in room-temperature water for 10–15 minutes when it feels dry (typically every 5–7 days). Allow to fully drain before placing back on a dish.
Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity.
Bloom Longevity: Anthurium flowers are long-lasting and may bloom for several weeks to months with proper care. Fertilize to encourage reblooming
