Steadily building their artistic style and audience over the past five years, New Jersey-based alternative folk band Cold Weather Company produces a diverse sound, rich with harmonies and instrumental builds. The band combines the various writing approaches and influences of it's three members, Brian Curry, Jeff Petescia, and Steve Shimchick, to create unique arrangements with intricate layering. For their third full-length album Find Light, they've roped in a number of friends and contemporaries on percussion, bass, cello, violin, trumpet, flute, sax and clarinet, creating a soundtrack that moves far beyond the lean sounds of 2015's Somewhere New and 2016's A Folded Letter. "We're really proud of the first two albums, which we recorded ourselves, but we didn't want to miss the opportunity to fill these new songs out with additional instrumentation," says Petescia, one of the group's two guitarists. "We wanted to give each song the sound it deserved."

A pain to put on the wall
4 stars only because to actually screw it into the wall you need either an angled screw driver, which we had to go buy, or a really really short screwdriver as the one that came with it is just a tad to long. Also the mollies that come with it our cheap and would not hold up on regular dry wall, which we found out, thank goodness, before we finished hanging it. As we were hanging it the top pulled right out of the wall. We had heavy duty ones at home already and used those. The shelf was a breeze to actually put together and once we got past the trouble of hanging it, is wonderful and looks great. So, 1. buy a better screwdriver, and 2. get heavy duty mollies.

Pretty and practical

Very handsome and functional shelf with a ton of space!
I was looking for a black wall shelf to go above our coffee bar that included a bar with hanging hooks for empty glasses and a bar towel. This shelf met those needs, and I'm very impressed with it overall. It's a bit pricey for how simplistic it is, but it doesn’t feel or look cheap. Assembly and installation with the provided hardware was easy with help of a drill. The shelves are deep and work well for storage baskets and larger items. It’s a sharp-looking piece that really improved the look of our expanded coffee bar.

Wonderful shelf but difficult to install!

I absolutely love this shelf. It's perfect over our coffee bar and is extremely sturdy. Assembling it was very easy, but hanging it was challenging. The design could definitely use a little improvement. My husband had to order an angles drill adapter to be able to get the screws in. He also bought different anchors than what came with it. But now that it's up it looks fantastic!
