Goldenseal’s bitter taste is your clue to its role in helping one’s digestion.  This herb has also been used traditionally for its ‘natural antibiotic’ ability to help stop infections and inflammation in the digestive tract such as gastritis.  It has the ability to help heal inflammed mucous membranes and has a mild laxative effect when needed - a truly golden herb.

Ingredients

Each ml contains 250 mg of organically grown goldenseal root and rhizome (Hydrastis canadensis) in a non-medicinal base of 40% grain alcohol and purified water, with organically grown cinnamon bark as a natural flavour enhancer.

Suggested Usage

Recommended Use: Goldenseal is traditionally used in Herbal medicine to aid digestion or help alleviate inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract. It is also traditionally used as a mild laxative.

Directions:

For best results, take goldenseal on an empty stomach, which means about 15 minutes before a meal or snack, or at least 1 hour after. It may take up to one week to produce beneficial effects.

Adults 18 and over: take 1 ml, 3 times per day. 

For best absorption, squirt the tincture under your tongue and hold it there for a few seconds, then swallow. If you want to remove the alcohol, add the dosage to a half cup of freshly boiled water. The alcohol will evaporate off. Let it cool, and add honey or a splash of juice to make a yummy, rejuvenating drink!

Do not use this herb if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.  Please consult with your healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have a kidney disorder or blood pressure problems, or if symptoms persist or worsen.  Consumption with alcohol or other medications or natural health products with sedative properties is not recommended.  Keep this product out of the reach of children.
