how to install Cisco 3945 Integrated Services Router

Installing the Cisco 3945 Integrated Services Router involves planning, rack placement, and proper configuration to unlock its full potential. Start with a clear deployment plan that outlines the sites, required interfaces, security policies, and redundancy needs. Mount the router in an appropriate 19-inch rack, ensuring adequate ventilation and access to power. If you’re using modular interface cards, install the HWICs or NIMs according to Cisco guidelines and secure them with captive mounting or chassis adapters as appropriate. Connect power supplies, and configure redundant power options if your site requires high availability. Connect the router to your network edges using the selected WAN links and internal LAN segments, and verify physical link status for all interfaces.

Access the device via the console port or a management interface to begin configuration. Use the Cisco IOS XE command-line interface to set hostname, enable features, and apply security baselines. Establish basic routing (static or dynamic), configure IP addressing for WAN and LAN interfaces, and enable VPN services with IPsec for secure site-to-site connectivity. Implement quality-of-service policies to prioritize business-critical traffic, such as voice and video, ensuring smooth performance even during peak loads. Deploy security measures, including access control lists (ACLs), firewall rules, and VPN authentication mechanisms, and consider enabling intrusion prevention features where appropriate. After initial configuration, monitor device health and link status through the integrated management tools, and schedule firmware updates and configuration backups to maintain ongoing reliability. The Cisco 3945 ecosystem allows you to tailor the installation with precise interfaces and services to match your organization’s needs, delivering a flexible, future-proof edge router.

Freaks my dogs out.
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
My dogs really don't know what to make of these. They mostly follow it around, staring at it curiously, but semi-afraid to approach it. That, or they'll bark at it. It charges quickly and has multiple modes to engage your pet with. It also locks closed securely ... for the most part. That said, there are some downsides. This toy is mostly made for smaller dogs. I'd say 40 or 50 pounds max. While the plastic shell feels hard and durable, it's not hard enough for a big dog's jaws. My big bulldog mix bore down on this with his teeth, and I hard the plastic starting to snap. It's tough, but not great if your dog is the type who likes to put the pressure on.

Fun, engaging dog toy that keeps pets entertained, but battery life could be better
Color: Blue
I’ve been using the ITEHZTO Interactive Dog Ball Automatic Dog Toy for my dog, and overall it’s been a great way to keep him active and engaged, especially when I’m busy or not able to play fetch. The different play modes are a nice feature, and the unpredictable movement really grabs his attention. It does a good job of encouraging exercise and mental stimulation. The USB-C charging is convenient, and I appreciate not having to mess with batteries. The size is also good for small to medium dogs, and it feels durable enough to handle regular play. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the battery life doesn’t last as long as I expected, especially when using the more active modes. Also, on harder flooring it can be a bit noisy as it bounces around. Overall, it’s a fun and useful interactive toy that my dog genuinely enjoys. With slightly longer battery life and quieter operation, it would easily be a 5-star product.

Great stimulation for a 'busy' pup
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
I’ll admit I was a little skeptical since my German Shepherd is well over the recommended weight limit for this ball, but it’s been a huge hit. Even though it’s technically for smaller breeds, it has held up remarkably well so far. I’ve mostly kept it on the gentle mode, and that’s more than enough to grab her attention and keep her occupied for quite a while. The design is actually much tougher than the warnings suggest; the two halves screw together so securely that she hasn't been able to pry it open, which is impressive for a tough chewer. It’s been a great way to keep her mentally engaged indoors without worrying about the toy falling apart immediately.

Recommended for Small, Mellower Dogs, not the destructive, chewy kind
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
My dog loved this ball, maybe a little too much. He attacked it like it was a wild animal and left teeth marks and tears in the outer plastic. I decided to give it to my cats instead, who initially were very intrigued by it. The buff kitty even chirped to see it. He would roll around with it as it vibrated and hopped, but after a while he wasn’t that interested. I think I can get them to play with it if I don’t use it with them every day, maybe wait a few weeks between playtimes. Perhaps it is a little too large for cats. My dog, who is less than 30 lbs., might be too big for it, or maybe just his mouth is, or maybe because he’s a Boston Terrier and he always feels like it’s his duty to destroy all toys (all my Bostons were like that). But I don’t think I will let him have it again. Maybe a toy breed or puppy might be more of the appropriate size for this ball. Or someone who isn’t as destructive. The instructions are almost unreadable because the text is so small. I couldn’t understand what I was supposed to do with the “installation process.” I did figure out how to turn it on and off by myself, however. There are four modes when it is on: gentle, normal, active, and lighting only (no vibration). As a human, it is a fun thing to watch, even if it is just for the light show.
