Bright green Gold-in-coloured Glass SetMatrigold colored Glass on Gold Jewels are made with a similar technique as developed for the golden tiles on the Matrimandir. Pure gold leafs (24 karat) or silver leaves are placed between 2 layers of glass and fused while under vacuum. Once cooled, the fused tiles are cut by the artist Birgitta Volz, recombined and heated again to create the final shape. To get the colors, we fuse colored glass instead of clear glass on top of the gold or silver

To get the colors, we fuse colored glass instead of clear glass on top of the gold or silver leaves. As the colors are underlayn with precious metal, they obtain their incredible shine.
All jewels in this line are single pieces which cannot be reproduced.

How to care for your colored Gold-in-Glass Jewelry:

Under normal circumstances, the jewelry is solid and the gold is preserved in glass forever in perfect condition. Please avoid dropping them on a hard surface. 
Roll wires gently in a circular fashion to keep them in their natural shape.
Most of our fittings are made from hypoallergenic (nickel-free) alloys and are suitable for people with a sensitivity to nickel. They have real gold or silver plating, which is not permanent in the tropical climate.
To clean the fittings, use a brass or silver polish.
