De 60x60 terrastegel behoort tot de populaire tegels van Kijlstra. Het formaat van deze tuintegel geeft een ruimtelijk effect, waardoor je tuin groter lijkt. De tegels zijn gemaakt van keramiek, een materiaal dat kleurvast, slijtvast en krasbestendig is. Hierdoor hebben ze weinig onderhoud nodig en blijven ze jarenlang mooi.

Behandeling

Bestrating kan verschillende behandelingen ondergaan om de stenen en tegels langer mooi te houden of bijvoorbeeld waterafstotend te maken. Er zijn drie veelvoorkomende behandelingen:

  • Toplaag (hydrofoob): zorgt voor extra bescherming tegen vocht en vuil.
  • Coating: geeft een beschermende laag die de tegel langer schoon houdt.
  • Impregneermiddel: dringt door in de tegel en maakt deze beter bestand tegen water en vlekken.
