Het was de bedoeling dat de Oldehove meer dan 120 meter hoog zou worden. Ze kwamen in 1533 met bouwen niet verder dan 39 meter omdat de toren zo extreem overhing. Met bijna 2 meter overhang met recht onze eigen toren van Pisa. 

Met lasersnijden wordt deze stadstoren uit massief Nederlands Essenhout gesneden. Elke toren heeft een unieke uitstraling!
