Deze Moulin a Vent Vieilles Vignes is een prachtige begeleider van koude voorgerechten en lichte vleesgerechten. Het stevige karakter van deze rode wijn heeft hij te danken aan de ideale ligging van de wijngaarden. De wijngaard ligt ten noorden van Beaujolais, in de gemeente Chenas. De oude wijnstokken profiteren van een warme zuidoostelijke ligging en staan aangeplant op een bijzondere bodem, die is samengesteld uit graniet en mangaan. De druiven worden met de hand geplukt om hun aroma te behouden. Aan de sorteertafel vindt een gedeeltelijke ontsteling van de druiven plaats. De vergisting vindt plaats in verschillende fasen. De eerste fase is een vergisting via semi-carbonique van enkele dagen. Die wordt gevolgd door de Bourgondische manier van vergisten, waarbij regelmatig de schilletjes die boven komen druiven worden ondergedompeld. Deze vergisting duurt in totaal 18 tot 20 dagen. Vervolgens rijpt ongeveer de helft van de wijn in Franse eikenhouten vaten. Deze Moulin a Vent Vieilles Vignes combineert in de geur bloemige tonen van iris en roos met kruidige tonen. De smaak is fijn, mineraal, complex, met een volle afdronk. Het is een fles met veel zorg gemaakt dat proeven we terug. Jewelry box is big, has enough space for what you need. However, I would say it’s more appropriate for a young child or teenager. This would not fit my jewelry nor would I want to keep my real gold in this (which I have stored in my safe). But cute and worth for younger age group.
