Because of its excellent appearance, hardness, and other physical properties, Bright Nickel Plate is the most common material used as an under plate for subsequent finishes, such as, chrome, gold, rhodium and other types of decorative finishes. This solution does require the proper equipment to work properly.
*A few metals such as zinc, stainless steel, and tungsten require special pretreatment before plating with Bright Nickel Plating Solution. For Bath plating this solution requires a . Meter setting of 2-3 Volts, for 1 - 2 Minutes, at a temperature of 110 - 130˚F.
For Brush plating a application bit is required. Meter setting of 3 - 4 Volts for 10 - 20 seconds per ² inch at room temperature.
