Rapala RCD 7" Magnum Lock Pliers

The RCD 7" Magnum Lock Pliers are robust tools constructed from stainless steel and enhanced with a Cerakote coating for superior abrasion and corrosion resistance. The reversible MagSpring mechanism secures the pliers in a closed position when not in use and, when reversed, functions as a spring to keep the jaws open and ready.

Equipped with replaceable carbide cutters suitable for braided, monofilament, and fluorocarbon lines, as well as wire up to 15 lbs (6.8 kg). The hybrid jaws feature an interlocking front grid for a firm grip on hooks. Includes a crimping tool for efficient rigging.

Supplied with a neoprene sheath and a coiled lanyard.

Well made… for children?

This review is for the 30” tall one. I’m honestly struggling to find a great use case for how short this is. I don’t have children or am associated with any institution where they may be some. I could see it being used for creating that type of sound barrier. The panel itself is very well made. Looks and feels like an air wall that you’d see in a convention center. I can absolutely tell there’s an acoustic absorption property to it. The whole thing unrolls quickly and is fast to deploy. As far as privacy goes, it’s kind of useless unless you are trying to wall in small children. I can’t really say the value is all here for this. Seems quite a bit more expensive than it’s worth.
